Is there an official IGTAP wiki?

No. IGTAP: an Incremental Game That's Also a Platformer has no official website and no developer-run wiki. What the game does have is an unusually engaged developer — Varii of Pepper Tango Games — who publishes announcements, hotfix notes and bug-report threads on the Steam Community Hub, plus a growing ring of community reference material: Steam guides, a subreddit, speedrun leaderboards, video tutorials and independent guide sites like this one. Knowing what exists, and how reliable each layer is, saves a lot of dead-end searching.

Steam Community Hub guides and threads

The hub for app 4364730 is the closest thing to primary-source documentation. The developer's own posts are the canonical record of patch changes: Hotfix #1 on September 21, 2026 fixed two softlocks (the omni-dash return to the unlock-orbs area, and an untranslated Russian box), and Hotfix #2 on September 22 cut late-game costs, moved the extra double jump earlier in the upgrade tree and made the omni-dash an optional toggle. Any guide written before those dates may describe a game that no longer exists.

Community guides on the hub fill in strategy, including an "IGTAP omni-dash survival guide" by edgarallanpro and a "Late Game Guide (Spoilers)" covering VMAN courses, the omni-dash, orbs and zips. Discussion threads like "VMAN Best Path and Optimization" carry player-found route data with spoiler warnings. Because these are community-authored, verify anything load-bearing against the store page or achievement stats — but the hub is where the freshest information lives.

Reddit and video guides

r/IGTAP is a small public subreddit whose flagship thread is "A Comprehensive Guide To IGTAP" by Sparrowning, aimed at struggling players, with comments tracking releases such as the B-Side content. The subreddit's size is unconfirmed and we could not verify the guide's full body, so treat it as a starting point rather than an encyclopedia.

YouTube hosts the deepest walkthrough material: MaybeNotHex's "IGTAP Tutorial: Every Hidden Upgrade/Easter Egg" catalogues the demo build's secrets, defaultt67's "IGTAP: all secrets" does the same in video form, and full-release playthroughs from creators like Haelian and Dex show the atom prestige loop and endgame from start to finish. The one rule when using video guides: check which build they cover. Demo-era videos predate the Steam release's atoms, upgrade tree, B-Sides and Vman courses, and a patch around June 5, 2026 changed which glitches worked in the web build.

speedrun.com resources

speedrun.com/IGTAP documents the game's structure from the optimisers' angle: per-level categories such as Level 1 Any% and Level 1 Glitchless, with variables for Release version, starting abilities (No Upgrades, Doublejump, Dash), No Major glitches and A-Side. The boards are young — many top times were submitted within days of each other around the release — so treat first-place times as current leaders rather than settled world records. For route ideas and the community's benchmark times, the leaderboard pages and linked run videos are the most precise reference material that exists. Our speedrun guide summarises the categories.

How to judge whether a guide is accurate

Whatever the source, these checks separate good IGTAP references from stale or invented ones:

  • Date it against the patches. The Steam release shipped September 21, 2026 and was balance-tuned by September 22. Anything citing exact upgrade prices or the omni-dash behaviour should post-date Hotfix #2, or say which build it describes.
  • Demand a version label. Web demo, Steam demo and Steam release have genuinely different content — no saving and no polarity swap in the browser build, B-Sides and Vman courses only in the release. A guide that does not say which it covers is a guide to distrust.
  • Cross-check numbers against official surfaces. The store page and the Steam community achievement stats are the only official data; suspiciously precise formulas or cost curves with no source are a red flag.
  • Watch for invented vocabulary. Some guide sites use evocative names for locations and tricks that appear nowhere in the game's text or achievement list and have no second source. If only one site uses a term, treat it as that site's invention until corroborated.

Where the documentation still has gaps

Even the best-resourced community cannot currently answer everything, and honest references should say so. Unconfirmed as of September 2026: the total number of courses in the Steam release (at least six exist), the full names of the gp and np resources (only "clone dust" for CD is stated in-game), what VMAN actually is beyond five speedrun courses with a hidden ominous message, the trigger locations for the breaker ("Overdraw") and that message ("Quam Formidolosum", the rarest achievement at 0.5%), the real effect of clone size upgrades, and any verified Steam Deck rating. On this site, every such point is explicitly marked unconfirmed rather than guessed at — for what is known, start with the beginner guide, the secrets overview and the achievement list.
